NEUROTRANSMITTERS
In the brain, internal communication is facilitated through numerous chemical messengers,
the catecholamines. Key among these messengers are epinephrine (adrenalin), norepinephrine
and dopamine. These messengers are produced in the body utilizing a number of amino acids,
principally phenylalanine and tyrosine. Other synergistic support nutrients are also
important. The Life Plus Clear Edge formulation utilizes the principles of dietary
supplementation to provide a formulated blend of key materials essential to natural
production of these neurotransmitters. It helps the body maintain normallevels of natural
alertness and acuity, the ability to focus and overall feeling of well being.
Directions:
Adults and children over 12, take one to three tablets per day in the morning or
mid-afternoon, preferably on an empty stomach.
Contains no preservatives, sugar, starch, salt, wheat,

SIGNALS
IN THE BRAIN
The human body has developed numerous chemical messengers to facilitate internal
communication and signal transmission within the brain. When everything is working
properly, the internal communications take place without our even being aware of them.
What we are aware of, should we take the time to think about it, is that we are thinking
normally, alertly. To paraphrase Pascal, "we think, therefore we are." And when
we think at our peak capacity, we are at our peak mental capacity.
THE
CATECHOLAMINES
Key among the chemical neurotransmitters are a group of catecholamines which include
epinephrine (more commonly known as adrenalin) norepinephrine and dopamine. These
catecholamines are produced utilizing various amino acids and related nutrients. The
essential amino acid, phenylalanine, is an important precursor, and, in the body, is
converted to tyrosine which is termed a non-essential amino acid because of the body's
ability to synthesize it. Phenylalanine and tyrosine, in turn, are precursors of the
catecholamines epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine.
NEUROTRANSMITTER
FUNCTION
These neurotransmitters are associated with a number of biological actions in the central
nervous system. Their actions include the ability to transmit signals and many other
associated actions including a regulatory function relating to blood glucose levels.
DIETARY
SUPPLEMTATION
Appropriate nutritional precursors along with other supportive nutrients are included in
Clear Edge with the efficiency of the neurotransmitter network specifically in mind. Three
tablets of Clear Edge contain a full 700 mg of phenylalanine, 475 mg of DL-Phenylalanine
and 225 mg of L-Phenylalanine. Three tablets alsoprovide 150 mg of L-Tyrosine, 450 mg of
L-Glutamine, an amino acid precursor to glucose. It also contains 20 mcg of the B-12
co-enzyme dibencozide (cobamamide), along with 300 mcg of Vitamin B-12. Co-enzyme Q-10 (10
mg) and 25 mcg of Vanadyl Sulfate are included, along with a base of herbal concentrates,
supportive vitamins and other synergistic materials.
ALERTNESS
Nutritional support of the key catecholamine neurotransmitters epinephrine, norepinephrine
and dopamine, is beneficial in helping the body maintain normal continuing levels of
mental alertness and acuity, the ability to focus and overall feeling of well being.
Clear Edge may be of benefit when peak level mental alertness is
desired. Benefits may now be obtained through natural dietary supplementation– without
the use of alkaloid stimulants such as caffeine or ephedrine, and without their well-known
side effects.
